You are enough. Flaunt yourself, because you are the best version of you and that’s pretty fantastic! Love and believe in yourself because if you don’t then how can you expect others to do so. Life is a battlefield, we are continuously faced with situations that will try and test us but the secret is to never stop believing in ourselves and fight on. Being a warrior is not easy, but it is rewarding! Here are some tips from our founder on being a confident and empowered warrior.

  1. Give yourself a pep-talk

We all have moments when we need a pep talk to brighten our day so give it to yourself! Instill confidence in yourself by looking in the mirror and telling yourself how fabulous you are.

Brighten your day by wearing that fabulous outfit (Our Agni leggings will always make you feel fabulous), treating yourself to a spa vacation, going for that 4pm yoga class, or just allowing yourself to walk away from a situation to just breathe. You need to be there for yourself 100% and do whatever you can to make yourself happy. You come before anyone else.

  1. Be your own benchmark

Everyone has had a different journey and everyone is blessed with different traits and skills. Be yourself and love who you are! Remember how far you have come. If you don’t like something about yourself, be aware of it, recognize it and then change it. But don’t start comparing where another person is on their journey. We all have our own karmas and have different purposes.

  1. Have a purpose

The purpose of life is a life of purpose. We all need a reason to get out of bed everyday. Find yours. Discover your strengths, focus and develop them and find ways to use it. Stop worrying about your weakness as we all have them. Rather focus on excelling in fields that highlight your strengths. This will help you feel confident and happy.

  1. Surround yourself with confident and purposeful people

Your friends are a reflection of you, so surround yourself with positive people. Happy, confident people will also help pick you up and believe in you. They believe in abundance so don’t have room for jealousy and pettiness. You need a strong, supportive safety net in your life, so choose your friends well.

  1. Spend time with yourself

Feel confident in dining with yourself and spending some quality time with yourself. Whether it’s watching a movie, reading a book, going for a walk, me time should be non-negotiable. Love spending time with yourself and learn to build a relationship with yourself as that is the only one you have to live with forever.

  1. Take care of yourself

Respect yourself enough to not abuse your body. We all know that we need to take care of our bodies by eating healthy and exercising regularly, so do it! Check out some of our delicious recipes here and some simple exercises you can do on your Spiritual Warrior mat here. Your body is your greatest instrument so take care of it.

  1. Step out of your comfort zone

To become a confident and empowered you, step out of your comfort zone and try things that scare you. Facing your fears is one of the most important ways to feel empowered. Challenge yourself daily- you can only benefit from new experiences.

  1. Don’t take things personally

Many people don’t have control over their emotions, some are not even aware of them; so don’t take things people say personally. If someone said something negative, it’s their problem not yours! Don’t ever let someone else bring you down as they probably are just unhappy with themselves. The only person you can control is yourself, so always choose happiness.

  1. Say no

Focusing on your priorities will give you a sense of power and saying no to things that interfere with it will then come naturally. Don’t become a people pleaser, as it will only stop you from reaching your potential. You come before anyone else, embrace that.

  1. Help those less fortunate than yourself

Help yourself first so you can help others. Use your strengths to empower those less fortunate than yourself; be it by teaching people a new skill, mentoring them, donating time and money or any way you can to add a smile to a face. Serve others selflessly and feel the joy you get from giving.
